San Miguel Mission, Santa Fe, New Mexico

San Miguel Chapel has been known as the oldest church in the United States. The structure on site today is known to have been preceeded by a similar construction erected c. 1610-1628 when Santa Fe was established as the capital of New Spain. After the Pueblo Revolt the building was partially destroyed. Today's stucture was reconstructed in 1710. San Miguel is also situated in the oldest coninuously-inhabited residential neighborhood in the United States, the historic Barrio de Analco (1610). Cornerstones has been invited by the property owners, St. Michael's Corporation, to perform a structrual conditions assessment and develop a preservation plan for the conservation of San Miguel.
