Audits and Tax filings
Cornerstones is all about the communities we serve. One way we exercise that ethos is through our budgeting and financial practices. For transparency, accountability, and dialogue with those who support our work, we are making available our 990 tax filings and our audits. We believe they reflect an organization prioritizing many projects and communities while maintaining long-term sustainability and viability.
As our financials make clear, our work with federal agencies like the Parks Service and Bureau of Land Management allows us to hire and train field staff who build up the historic preservation community nationally. Funds generated through Federal projects also bottom-line other areas of our work. Donations and gifts from foundations are essential to our Mission Critical Fund, money that supports community-based preservation projects that lack funding streams of their own.
We hope our supporters consider our financial standing and continue to support us as we expand to take care of more historic preservation and community development across New Mexico and the Southwest.
